The fourth quarter of 2020 revealed interesting trends for consumer finance applications on the iOS platform in the United States. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the download and weekly active user statistics for these leading apps.

Cash App saw consistent downloads throughout the quarter, starting at 351K in the last week of September and peaking at 446K in the first week of December. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a high of 10.1M in the final week of December.

The Venmo app experienced a steady number of downloads, ranging from 234K to 315K, with the highest downloads occurring in early December. Active users showed a declining trend from 11.7M at the end of September to 9.7M by the year's end.

Zelle maintained a consistent download rate, hovering around 136K at the start of the quarter and reaching 143K by the end of November. Active users saw a slight drop from 620K to 606K over the same period.

Chase Mobile®: Bank & Invest downloads varied, with a significant increase to 123K in mid-October and a similar peak at the end of December. The app's weekly active users showed a decrease from 8.5M to 8.5M throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Google Pay: Save and Pay had a remarkable surge in downloads, from a modest 1.5K at the quarter's start to an impressive 647K in mid-December, before settling at 102K in the final week. The app's active users reflected this growth, jumping from 9.4K to 89.6K during Q4.
